Sustainability Center (Responde Ulima)
ABOUT
The Sustainability Center (Responde Ulima) leads strategic projects that support efforts to combat poverty, protect the planet, and promote respect for diversity. In alignment with the United Nations 2030 Agenda, the University advances social, environmental, and corporate responsibility—work for which it has earned international recognition.
Lead strategic projects that support efforts to combat poverty, protect the planet, and promote respect for diversity.
To become an international benchmark for creating value in the following areas:
Social Responsibility
We inspire a culture of volunteerism and encourage our community to help build a better society. We work alongside organizations and other stakeholders on initiatives that address local food systems, sustainable cities, civic ethics, disability inclusion, rural development, and the economic reintegration of migrant communities.
Environmental Responsibility
We are committed to strengthening sustainability across the Ulima campus. Through our Environmental Management System and carbon footprint measurement, we implement initiatives focused on sustainable mobility, energy efficiency, and waste management. We also promote circular economy training programs for businesses to encourage practices that benefit both society and the environment.
Corporate Responsibility
We promote a new generation of socially and environmentally responsible businesses through the collective benefit and interest (BIC) business model. Our efforts include collaboration with the external business community through the Interdisciplinary Clinic for BIC Businesses and the incorporation of these principles into our students’ education. This initiative is supported by the Ulima community and key stakeholders in Peru’s BIC ecosystem.
