You will access a platform to write an essay. This must include your reasons to apply to the master’s program.

INTERVIEW WITH THE COORDINATOR

A personal interview with the master's program coordinator takes place once the previous steps have been completed.

PAYMENT COMMITMENT LETTER

You must submit a signed payment commitment letter and pay the first installment.

2. REQUIREMENTS

The Master's Program in Architecture and Project Culture empowers professionals to lead and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams in both the conceptualization and execution of architectural projects. Through a critical and innovative approach, they evaluate design principles—visual, structural, and spatial—to deliver projects that are socially and environmentally responsible, driving lasting positive changes in their communities.

First Stage: 

  • Non-certified copy of the valid National Identity Card (DNI) or Alien Registration Card (ARC). 
  • Non-certified copy of the bachelor’s degree registered in the National Superintendency of University Education (SUNEDU). Not applicable to Ulima graduates.
  • Curriculum Vitae duly signed with passport-size photo (JPG format, 240x288 pixels, 300 DPI minimum resolution, in front of a plain white background, no eyeglasses).
  • Academic or employment recommendation letter. 
  • Portfolio of projects, research, and academic output (submit in vertical A4 format). 
  • Foreign language commitment letter, in accordance with the current university regulations.
  • Online Psychopedagogical Assessment (EPEL–EPG), delivered to the applicant's email.
  • Registration fee payment. 

Once documents are submitted, the Admissions Office will send you an email within 48 hours to make the registration payment (350 PEN). 

Second Stage: 

  • A psychopedagogical test.
  • An essay explaining the motivations for applying to the master's program.
  • An interview with the evaluation committee.

  • Critically assess research proposals in architecture, grounded in both theory and practice, to meet current pedagogical needs.

1. GRADUATION REQUIREMENTS
2. REQUIREMENTS TO OBTAIN THE ACADEMIC DEGREE

To obtain the graduate status, students must:

  • Complete the study program.
  • Fulfill all university obligations.
  • Process graduate status with the Student Services and Registry Bureau (DUSAR).

To obtain the academic degree, students must:

  • Hold graduate status.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in a foreign or native language by submitting a valid certificate from an institution recognized by the Ulima Language Center.
  • Hold an approved thesis or research project in the relevant field.
  • Comply with all requirements set forth in the rules and regulations.

Note 1: Students have a maximum of six (6) years to obtain the academic degree.

INTERNATIONAL EXPERIENCE

Students are required to complete two elective credits. Options include attending the renowned Venice Biennale of Architecture or taking a research methodology course locally. 

Important: Travel, accommodation, and per diem expenses must be covered by the student.

UCCELLI ROMERO, Claudia

Architect from Universidad Ricardo Palma, with art history studies and international experience in Rome, Italy. She was a finalist in the 5th Ibero-American Architecture Biennial in Montevideo, Uruguay, and the 7th edition in Medellín, Colombia. She won the BID 2010 Award – Design for Diversity and Development at the 2nd Ibero-American Design Biennial (BID) in Madrid, Spain, in the Graphic and Interior Design category. Romero also received the Silver Hexagon Award at the 14th Peruvian Architecture Biennial (2010) and the Traveller's Choice Award 2015 in the Museums category. In 2012, she participated in the 13th Venice Architecture Biennale with Yucún or Habitar el Desierto, a proposal that explored how Peru's desert coast could be transformed into a new urban landscape through a shared master plan. That same year, she led Peru's Pavilion at Expo Yeosu 2012 in South Korea. Founder of OUA.

ORREGO HERRERA, José

Architect from Universidad Ricardo Palma. He was a member of the Arquidea group, which is renowned in Peru for projects such as Parque Central de Miraflores. His work has been published in several national and international architecture journals. He leads Metrópolis, an architecture firm with over 25 years of experience, specializing in residential buildings, corporate offices, mixed-use developments, commercial complexes, hotels, and large-scale projects. His international work includes projects in Bogotá, Guayaquil, and La Paz. Since 2014, he has curated Peru's participation in the Venice Architecture Biennale. He is a founding member of the Peru Green Building Council and the Association of Architecture Studies. Herrera also serves as director of Patronato Cultural del Perú.

POGGIONE GONZÁLEZ, René

Architect from Universidad de Morón (Argentina). He completed postgraduate studies at several institutions, earning a degree in Architectural Theory from Università Iuav di Venezia (Italy), a master’s in Hospital Architecture from Universidad de Murcia (Spain), and a PhD in Architectural Design Pedagogy from UC Louvain (Belgium). He is currently pursuing a PhD in Architecture at Universidad de la República (Uruguay). He co-founded two architectural firms: Poggione + Biondi Arquitectos with Susel Biondi, and Samadhi with Javier Caravedo. He has participated as a juror and speaker in national and international events, and his work has been recognized with several awards. His research on architectural design pedagogy has been published in specialized journals.

ALVARADO PFLUCKER, Ruth

Architect from Universidad Ricardo Palma, with additional studies in architecture at the University of Virginia (USA). Her work emphasizes the integration of architecture with its context, characterized by an eclectic, playful approach that responds to environmental conditions and celebrates cultural identity. She has presented at international conferences across Latin America, the United States, Canada, and Europe, including Mextrópoli 2017, the international architecture and city festival in Mexico. In 2004, Pflucker received Peru's National Architecture Prize, the Hexágono de Oro. In addition to her independent practice, she has collaborated with architect Óscar Borasino at OB+RA for over 20 years, developing a range of institutional projects, including the new regional headquarters of the International Labour Organization.
