The Law Program prepares professionals with in-depth legal expertise who are equipped to analyze and apply the law effectively in a wide range of contexts. With a strong focus on negotiation, the program prepares future lawyers to resolve conflicts efficiently without resorting to litigation, in line with the growing global emphasis on alternative dispute resolution.
Professionals prepared to address legal and regulatory issues from a strong humanistic perspective, with due consideration for human rights and the principles of social and environmental responsibility. Their comprehensive education enables them to apply sound legal reasoning and develop well-supported arguments across a range of cases while upholding freedom, justice, democracy, and the rule of law.

CURRICULUM
The curriculum is exclusively designed to train highly skilled lawyers who excel in both the public and private sectors, as well as in national and international organizations.
ACADEMIC DEGREES AND PROFESSIONAL TITLES
Students who have completed their studies in Law are eligible to apply for the bachelor's degree. Once obtained, they may then apply for the professional title.

At the end of the academic term, students who have successfully completed all required courses and earned the necessary credits outlined in their program curriculum will automatically obtain the graduate status. They will then receive an email from DUSAR.

Video Tutorial: How to Request a Graduate Certificate?
Requirements:
- To earn your Bachelor's degree, you must first graduate from the Law Program.
- Submit a scanned copy of your valid national ID (DNI) in PDF format, in portrait orientation, and name the file using your LAST NAME and FIRST NAME in all caps.
- Provide proof of completion of at least six months of pre-professional internships.
- Demonstrate intermediate proficiency in a foreign language. For more information, contact the Ulima Language Center.
- Update your photo according to the following guidelines:
- Women: white blouse with a collar and a dark blazer
- Men: dress shirt, tie, and blazer
- Submit your application through Mi Ulima portal.
The professional title in Law will be awarded upon the successful completion of one of the degree pathways corresponding to either the thesis or professional proficiency project modalities, as outlined in the relevant procedures.
To apply, candidates must:
- Hold a Bachelor's degree in Law from Universidad de Lima and meet the applicable requirements.
- Have completed at least 18 months of pre-professional and professional internships.
Once the corresponding professional tittle modality is approved, students must request their diploma through Mi Ulima portal.

SPECIALIST CERTIFICATIONS
This Specialist Certification enhances your legal expertise in alignment with Peru's constitutional principles, while deepening your understanding of the global impact of international legislation. Expand your knowledge in key areas of the law and develop the ability to lead interdisciplinary teams in financing, integrations, acquisitions, mergers, issuances, and more. Build the skills to position yourself as a leading legal advisor.
This Specialist Certification equips students with key knowledge and skills in alternative dispute resolution methods, with an emphasis on negotiation as an alternative to litigation. It develops strong skills in mediation, conciliation, and arbitration, focusing on the pursuit of fair and equitable agreements. It also strengthens strategic thinking to help students design creative, innovative, and efficient solutions to legal disputes.
This Specialist Certification develops expertise in administrative procedures, public procurement, and the regulation of economic sectors. It equips students with the competencies needed to understand public administration, manage government procurement processes, and analyze regulatory frameworks. It also prepares them to formulate efficient legal solutions that strengthen institutions and contribute to national development.
This Specialist Certification develops the skills needed to analyze markets, protect consumer rights, and understand the legal framework governing unfair competition, inventions, emerging technologies, copyrights, and trademarks. Students learn to design legal solutions that promote innovation, fair competition, and business development.

Agreements
CONSORTIUM OF UNIVERSITIES
It is a nonprofit civil association comprising Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú, Universidad del Pacífico, Universidad Peruana Cayetano Heredia, and Universidad de Lima. Through this partnership, students from these four institutions can access academic and university services, use facilities, transfer course credits, and pay the same per-credit tuition rate across the Consortium.
Optional Second International Bachelor's Degree
Universidad de Lima offers students the opportunity to gain experience in global environments, expand their networks, and pursue an international academic experience through its optional second international bachelor's degree programs.
University of London
Through its agreement with the University of London (UoL), internationally recognized for its high academic standards, Universidad de Lima offers students the opportunity to earn a second international bachelor’s degree—the Bachelor of Science in Business Administration—without leaving Peru. The program is open to students from all undergraduate programs at Universidad de Lima.

SOCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
For over 10 years, the School of Law at Universidad de Lima has offered free family law assistance through its Legal Clinic, in collaboration with the Basic Labor Education Program "La Inmaculada" (PEBAL), located in Pamplona Alta, San Juan de Miraflores.
Beyond legal advice, the clinic supports hearings, training sessions, and awareness initiatives. Led by Attorney and Professor Teresa Elizabeth Maquilón Acevedo, this program reinforces our commitment to justice, legal rights, and social development for vulnerable communities.
Objective
To provide free family law assistance to vulnerable populations and improve their access to justice, while strengthening the practical training and social responsibility of students in Universidad de Lima's School of Law.

The Administrative Law Clinic delivers free legal support to the community. Students, mentored by faculty, assist the public to improve access to justice and reinforce understanding of administrative law. This service is intended for entrepreneurs and small businesses.
Objective
To strengthen the University’s social engagement and advance students’ education through the practical application of administrative law, addressing real cases and offering free legal services. The clinic also aims to reinforce students’ professional competencies and promote access to justice for the benefit of the community.
