As part of this commitment to excellence, the University actively pursues accreditation for its undergraduate and graduate programs to ensure high-quality professional education and responsiveness to the demands of an increasingly globalized environment.

INSTITUTIONAL ACCREDITATION

It is a voluntary process through which an educational institution undergoes an external review conducted by a recognized accrediting agency.

Its primary purpose is to ensure that the institution meets the quality standards established by the accrediting body in areas such as academic quality, infrastructure, faculty and staff qualifications, and academic and administrative governance.

Key Objectives:

Clear definition of mission, vision, and institutional values.
Alignment between the institutional mission and management processes.
Implementation of a quality management system consistent with accreditation standards.
Commitment to continuous internal process improvement.

Institutional Accreditation

Universidad de Lima is currently engaged in the process of determining its readiness for candidate status for accreditation with the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE).

MSCHE is an institutional accrediting agency recognized by the U.S Department of Education to conduct accreditation and pre-accreditation activities for institutions of higher education, including those offering distance education, correspondence education, and direct assessment programs. The Commission's geographic area of accrediting activities is throughout the United States. MSCHE accepts complaints and third-party comments regarding institutions engaged in the application and candidacy process.

Pre-Eligibility

Universidad de Lima has obtained eligibility approval (pre-application) from the Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) to pursue candidate status.

Institutional accreditation by the International Institute for Quality Assurance of the Interuniversity Development Center (IAC-CINDA) is an external evaluation process conducted by this organization. Its main objective is to ensure and formally recognize the quality of an educational institution. This process entails a comprehensive assessment of multiple institutional dimensions, including academic quality, administrative management, and infrastructure, among others, in order to determine compliance with the standards established by IAC-CINDA.
