On June 13, Annia Vargas, head of Environmental Responsibility at the Sustainability Center (Responde Ulima), joined the roundtable "Climate Emergency and the Cultural Sector" at the first Urgent Thinking Forum, organized by the Cultural Center of Spain in Lima.
Vargas discussed several environmental and cultural initiatives developed by Universidad de Lima and their contribution to fostering greater environmental awareness and responsibility in society.
One of the initiatives featured was an exhibition of sustainable designs developed by students from the School of Architecture. The exhibition showcased low-cost prototypes designed to promote renewable energy use and reduce carbon dioxide emissions. Ulima's book exchange initiative was also featured as an example of how reading can be promoted while advancing the circular economy and responsible consumption.
The first Urgent Thinking Forum brought together nearly 60 professionals from public and private cultural institutions, along with cultural, social, and environmental managers and advocates, who shared their perspectives and ideas with the public.
