The Center for Employability, Professional Engagement, and Alumni strengthens the competencies and skills of undergraduate and graduate students, and alumni, supporting their career placement and professional success.
We also serve as a bridge between our student community and the professional world through strategic partnerships with leading organizations. Our goal is to provide tools and professional development opportunities that support successful job searches, effective workplace performance, and long-term career growth.

Since 1965, Universidad de Lima has maintained strong relationships with leading companies, organizations, and institutions across the country. Over time, we have adapted our services to meet labor market needs and now offer a comprehensive career development model that supports the employability of our undergraduate and graduate students and alumni, complemented by Ulima Laboral, our job board.

Alumni
Alumni Ulima is a space for connection and collaboration among undergraduate and graduate alumni of Universidad de Lima. This network fosters an active alumni community and creates opportunities for collaboration, growth, and professional development among its members, strengthening the prestige of Ulima.
We promote a sense of belonging and commitment to the University among alumni and maintain ongoing engagement with graduates to create opportunities for meaningful exchange among alumni, students, faculty members, and all our community.
Alumni can contribute through mentoring programs, teaching opportunities, guest lectures, participation in study groups, and other collaborative initiatives that help them remain connected to the University.

Ulima Laboral is our employment platform that connects undergraduate and graduate students with national and international companies, institutions, and organizations from both the public and private sectors, providing access to internship and job opportunities.
Through this platform, you can:
- Access leading organizations seeking Ulima talent and follow them to stay informed about their opportunities.
- Create alerts to receive job opportunities by email daily, weekly, or monthly.
- Save job postings as favorites and track them more effectively.
- Share portfolios and LinkedIn profiles with employers when these options are enabled.
Apply for opportunities by creating a résumé using the platform's templates or by uploading a PDF version.
More than 8,500 organizations are registered on the platform, with over 1,400 new opportunities posted each month.

In-person sessions to provide you the opportunity to learn more about the organizations that visit us and gain insight into their industries, business activities, and operational, administrative, and support areas. These sessions help participants better understand organizations and develop informed program plans.

Once a year, more than 100 of the country's most prestigious organizations participate in our two formats renowned Job Fair. The virtual fair runs for three days, while the in-person event takes place over two days and attracts more than 2,000 visitors per day. Students and alumni can explore job opportunities and attend presentations on the job market. The event creates direct connections between participants and employers for future recruitment processes.
For one week every year, companies and human resources consulting firms provide guidance on career placement and other key topics to strengthen employability and professional development.

To obtain it, follow these steps:
- Download the Ulima App, available for Android (version 13.1) and iOS (version 13.1).
- Log in using your credentials and go to Intranet / Mi Ulima.
To update your photo, send a new image to dusarfoto@ulima.edu.pe with the following specifications:
- Color JPG image.
- Passport-size format (240 × 288 pixels).
- White background.

Procedures and Regulations
Requested through Mi Ulima / Procedures and available in the following categories:
- Pre-professional Internship Letter: Available to currently enrolled undergraduate students. Issued immediately when there are no observations.
- Professional Internship Letter: Available to graduates and bachelor's degree holders. Issued on the next business day of submission.
- Employment Letter: Available to undergraduate and graduate alumni. Issued on the next business day of submission.

Validation of work experience is a bachelor's degree requirement.

To qualify for a bachelor's degree, students must demonstrate completion of internships or work experience at least six cumulative months. Internships must be registered according to the requirements established by each program.
*For Psychology Program, the minimum requirement is ten months.
Eligible internships must:
- Last at least 60 consecutive days.
- Require a minimum of 20 hours per week.
*For Psychology Program, internships must last at least 150 consecutive days.
Academic Requirements by Program:
- Architecture: Completion of the sixth semester
- Arquitectura: Completion of the sixth semester
- Communication: Completion of 100 credits
- Accounting and Finance: Completion of the fifth semester
- Law: Completion of the sixth semester
- Economics: Completion of the sixth semester
- Civil Engineering: Completion of the fifth semester
- Industrial Engineering: Completion of the sixth semester
- Systems Engineering: Completion of the fifth semester
- Marketing: Completion of the sixth semester
- International Business: Completion of the sixth semester
- Psychology: Completion of the tenth semester
*Additional requirements
- Law: The supervisor must be a lawyer licensed for at least three years.
- Psychology: The supervisor must be a licensed psychologist.
- Architecture: For Initial Reports submitted on or after January 15, 2025, and the supervisor must be a licensed architect or engineer.
Students have up to 30 days to register internships (retroactive registration period of up to 30 days) by submitting initial and final reports through Mi Ulima, under the Procedures section.
Internal Internships
The Internal Internship Program is available to Universidad de Lima undergraduate students who meet the curricular requirements of their School, and the following criteria:

- Be an undergraduate student who has not completed the academic plan.
- Be enrolled during the corresponding academic term.
- Maintain satisfactory academic standing, with no more than one course repeated twice and no course repeated three times.
- Student representatives may not apply during their elected term or during the following academic year.
- Successfully complete the selection process.
- Meet the requirements established by the program.
- Internships may last up to one year.
Applications are submitted each academic term through the Center for Employability, Professional Engagement, and Alumni or through the Ulima Laboral platform.
External Internships
Internships may be completed at public or private organizations, either in Peru or abroad. The minimum internship registration period is two consecutive months with the same organization.
According to Peruvian Law No. 28518:
- The stipend may not be lower than the current minimum wage.
- Internship schedules may not exceed 30 hours per week.
- Organizations must provide health and accident insurance coverage for interns.
