To earn a specialization diploma, students must:
- Pass all courses included in the diploma on the first attempt, with a grade of 15 or higher.
- Complete the research project in the diploma's area of specialization.
Validations
The master's degree offers credit-transfer pathways for graduates of the Civil Engineering undergraduate program, participants in the Virtual Design and Construction (VDC) Program, and participants in the Specialized Program in Collaborative Management of Construction Projects.
Depending on the applicable pathway, applicants may request the transfer of up to 6 or 10 credits, subject to the academic, documentary, and administrative requirements established by the Graduate School.
Credit transfer applies to the on-site (MOD P), hybrid (MOD SP), and online (MOD D) formats, provided that they share the same curriculum. Credit transfer is not automatic and is subject to institutional evaluation.

ESSAY WRITING
You will access a platform to write an essay. This must include your reasons to apply to the master's program.
INTERVIEW WITH THE DIRECTOR
A personal interview with the director of master's or doctoral program takes place once the previous steps have been completed.
PAYMENT COMMITMENT LETTER
You must submit a payment commitment letter duly signed and pay the first installment.

APPLICANT PROFILE
Designed for graduates and professionals in engineering, architecture, and related fields whose work involves construction, infrastructure, building, or mining projects and who are interested in moving beyond traditional management approaches and leading new ways of conceiving and delivering projects.
FIRST STAGE:
- Non-certified copy of the valid National Identity Card (DNI) or Valid Foreigner ID Card.
- Non-certified copy of the bachelor's degree registered in the National Superintendency of University Education (SUNEDU). Not applicable to Ulima graduates.
- Resume duly signed with passport-size photo (JPG format, 240x288 pixels, 300 DPI minimum resolution, in front of a plain white background, no eyeglasses).
- An academic or employment recommendation letter.
- Portfolio of projects, research, and academic publications (submit in A4 portrait format)
- Foreign language commitment letter, in accordance with the current university regulations.
- Complete the Online Psychoeducational Assessment (EPEL–EPG), which will be sent to the applicant’s email address.
- Registration fee payment.
- Once documents are submitted, the Admissions Office will send you an email within 48 hours to make the registration payment (350 PEN).
SECOND STAGE:
- A psychopedagogical assessment.
- An essay explaining the applicant's motivation for applying to the master's degree.
- An interview with the admissions committee.
GRADUATE PROFILE
El egresado de la Maestría en Gestión de Ingeniería de la Construcción será capaz de diseñar, implementar y liderar nuevos sistemas de entrega de proyectos basados en valor, que integre VDC e IPD desde un enfoque de construcción moderna.
Articulará equipos multidisciplinarios mediante metodologías colaborativas, tomará decisiones basadas en datos y contribuirá al desempeño económico, la sostenibilidad, la gobernanza ética, la innovación tecnológica y la excelencia técnica de proyectos de diversa escala y nivel de complejidad a lo largo de su ciclo de vida.

- Liderazgo transformacional: Diseña procesos de cambio en organizaciones y ecosistemas de construcción, mediante liderazgo adaptativo y ético, gestión del aprendizaje y comunicación estratégica, para sostener la evolución organizacional en entornos complejos.
- Análisis sistémico: Analiza sistemas de construcción complejos, mediante la articulación de interdependencias técnicas, financieras, organizacionales y ambientales con los riesgos asociados, para optimizar los resultados a lo largo del ciclo de vida del proyecto.
- Transformación sectorial: Desarrolla iniciativas de transformación en el sector y de cadena de valor en la construcción, mediante alianzas multiactor, modelos colaborativos de entrega y marcos estratégicos, tecnológicos y de sostenibilidad, para alinear incentivos y estructuras de gobernanza que fortalezcan la productividad, la confiabilidad y la creación de valor a escala sectorial.
- Diseña sistemas innovadores: Diseña sistemas de trabajo integrados y optimizados en la construcción, mediante la modelación, la simulación digital, los principios de gestión de la producción y las metodologías colaborativas, para maximizar el desempeño, la eficiencia y la sostenibilidad de los proyectos.
- Complete the study program (48 credits).
- Demonstrate proficiency in a foreign or native language as stablished.
- Fulfill all university obligations.
To obtain the academic degree, students must:
- Hold graduate status.
- Comply with all requirements set forth in the rules and regulations.
- Demonstrate proficiency in a foreign or native language by submitting a valid certificate from an institution recognized by the Ulima Language Center.

ADVISORY COUNCIL
FISCHER, Martin
PhD in Civil Engineering from Stanford University (United States). Civil engineer from the Swiss Federal Institute of Technology (Switzerland). Throughout his career, he has received recognition from the National Science Foundation. He was named one of the top 25 columnists by Engineering News-Record and received the award for Best Paper in Computing in Civil Engineering from the ASCE Journal.
He was elected an Honorary Foreign Member of the Royal Swedish Academy of Engineering Sciences. He is a professor of civil and environmental engineering and director of the Center for Integrated Facility Engineering (CIFE) at Stanford University. He is also a senior fellow of the Precourt Institute for Energy and coordinator of Building Energy Efficiency Research at the same institution. He has published more than 100 articles in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters.
MACHER, Renzo
Master's Degree in Construction Engineering and Project Management from the University of California, Berkeley (United States). Civil engineer from Pontificia Universidad Católica del Perú. He completed the Management Development Program at Universidad de Piura.
He began his career at Compañía de Minas Buenaventura in 2013 as project manager for Tambomayo. Since then, he has overseen the Innovation and Project Development departments. He also serves as president of the Hub de Innovación Minera del Perú.
HOWARD, Ashcraft
Juris Doctor from the University of California, Berkeley (United States). Holds a degree in Human Biology from Stanford University (United States), where he has served as an adjunct professor and lecturer in civil and environmental engineering.
As a partner at Hanson Bridgett LLP, he was part of the team that helped drive the development of Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) in the mid-2000s. He currently leads a team responsible for structuring more than 175 exclusive IPD projects in North America and other parts of the world.
He is also an Associate Fellow of Saïd Business School at the University of Oxford. He is a member of the National Academy of Construction and of the U.S. and Canadian construction law associations. This year, he will publish the book Contracting for Integrated Project Delivery: Structuring Collaborative Projects for Global Success.
In 2022, he received the Pioneer Award from the Lean Construction Institute for his leadership in Integrated Project Delivery (IPD) and Lean projects. He has received numerous legal recognitions and holds a Band 1 ranking as a construction lawyer from Chambers & Partners.
DEAN, Reed
Holds a degree in Psychology from the University of California, Santa Cruz (United States). For more than 24 years, he led the implementation of lean construction at DPR Construction.
He is the founder of Capability-Building, a consulting firm focused on helping organizations transition from management based on results or metrics to a process-centered approach for optimizing construction project delivery. In 2021, he received the Pioneer Award from the Lean Construction Institute. He is a co-author of the book Integrating Project Delivery, published in 2017.
