Thanks to the commitment of the entire Ulima community, the Sustainability Center (Responde Ulima) delivered 1,600 pieces of clothing to Cáritas Peru as part of a campus donation campaign supporting people affected by severe cold in Puno.
The donation was delivered in Callao by Ronny Fischer, Director of Responde Ulima, to Manuel Huapaya, Secretary General of Cáritas Peru, and Monsignor Guillermo Cornejo, Auxiliary Bishop of the Archdiocese of Lima and President of Cáritas Peru.
"This is an example of our community’s empathy and solidarity, coming together to help those in need," Fischer highlighted. The donation included blankets, jackets, sweaters, shoes, baby clothes, and scarves. The latter were donated by employees of Marsch, an insurance company that partners with Universidad de Lima.
Ronny Fischer emphasized Ulima's commitment to working with organizations such as Cáritas to support communities in need through future relief efforts. "We hope to continue collaborating with Cáritas Peru to help those who may be affected by El Niño," he concluded.
