Rector Patricia Stuart presented the Educational Model Implementation System (SIME) to the university community, establishing an institutional roadmap for the progressive, systematic, and collaborative implementation of the new Educational Model.
Elisa Torres, Head of Educational Innovation and Quality, presented the action plan and detailed SIME's three strategic areas: curriculum management, teaching quality, and educational innovation.
Launched in July 2025, the new Ulima Educational Model advances a competency-based approach that places students at the center of the learning process. "The Ulima Educational Model reflects the kind of education the University seeks to offer, while SIME translates that vision into concrete experiences for students," Torres explained.
The event brought together academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, and student representatives, who expressed their support for the new Educational Model. Rector Stuart emphasized that "bringing this model to life requires the commitment and participation of our entire university community."
"The Educational Model is something we build together. Its implementation is a shared responsibility. We want our graduates to be recognized not only for their knowledge, but also for their ability to apply it with judgment, creativity, responsibility, and ethical awareness. I am confident that we will embrace this task with the commitment it deserves," she concluded.
