In a heartfelt ceremony, Universidad de Lima welcomed the first cohorts of Environmental Engineering and Mechatronics Engineering. Rector Patricia Stuart opened the event with an inspiring message: “It is an honor to share this moment with you as you begin a historic chapter in our University. You will become leaders of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and key players in building a more sustainable future for the country,” she stated.
Dean of the School of Engineering, Nadia Rodríguez, addressed the audience and emphasized the importance of this milestone. “We are thrilled to welcome you all as the first cohorts of these programs. The University fosters innovation, high-quality and supportive education, and spaces where every student can grow and reach their full potential,” she noted. She also introduced the program directors: Nikolai Vinces (Mechatronics Engineering) and Javier Quino (Environmental Engineering).
The directors shared messages of motivation and commitment with their students. Professor Vinces highlighted perseverance and patience as essential to achieving major goals, while Quino underscored the effort invested in creating a strong academic program focused on sustainability and technological innovation. Both reaffirmed that students will receive the University’s full support every step of the way.
