ESSAY WRITING
During the admission process, applicants must submit a document—using the provided format—outlining their potential research topic for the doctorate.
INTERVIEW WITH THE DIRECTOR
A personal interview with the director of master's or doctoral program takes place once the previous steps have been completed.
PAYMENT COMMITMENT LETTER
You must submit a payment commitment letter duly signed and pay the first installment.
CURRICULUM
Courses cover the epistemological foundations of research, learning design and implementation, and the most widely used methodologies and analytical techniques in the field of communication. The program also includes seminars dedicated to research project development under the guidance of expert advisors, as well as sessions focused on specialized techniques and academic debates with peers. Coursework is completed in the first year, followed by research-centered terms.

The ideal applicant profile includes the following attributes:
Academic and Professional Background
Applicants should have academic or professional experience in communication or related fields, preferably holding a master's degree.
Research Interest
A genuine motivation to contribute to the advancement of communication knowledge through rigorous scientific research.
Ethical Conduct
A strong commitment to ethical behavior and scientific integrity throughout the research process.
Technological Proficiency
Competence in the use of information technologies and data analysis tools.
Autonomy

- High-speed internet connection
- Laptop with essential software
- Non-certified copy of the valid National Identity Card (DNI) or Alien Registration Card (ARC).
- Non-certified copy of the bachelor's degree registered in the National Superintendency of University Education (SUNEDU). Not applicable to Ulima graduates.
- Resume duly signed with passport-size photo (JPG format, 240x288 pixels, 300 DPI minimum resolution, in front of a plain white background, no eyeglasses).
- An academic or employment recommendation letter that certifies applicant's capacity to pursue this doctoral program.
- A minimum of five (05) years of work experience, whether in business, executive, teaching, managerial, or research positions. This experience can include the participation or involvement with research initiatives or projects.
- Foreign language commitment letter, in accordance with the current university regulations.
- One-page Statement of Purpose explaining applicant's objectives and how this program is aligned to professional and academic aspirations.
- Research proposal about the potential topic for the doctorate. This must include the research problem, objectives, theoretical framework, and preliminary methodology (model).
- Registration fee payment.
Once documents are submitted, the Admissions Office will send you an email within 48 hours to make the registration payment (350 PEN).

Research Project Management
Graduates are equipped to manage all stages of a research study. They can define objectives, establish realistic timelines, plan budgets, and allocate resources. They demonstrate strong time management and can work efficiently with minimal supervision.
To obtain the graduate status, students must:
- Complete the study program.
- Fulfill all university obligations.
- Process graduate status with the Student Services and Registry Bureau (DUSAR).
To obtain the academic degree, students must:
- Hold graduate status.
- Demonstrate proficiency in two foreign or native languages (one must be at intermediate level), by submitting a valid certificate from an institution recognized by the Ulima Language Center.
- Have scientific articles accepted for publication in academic journals, in accordance with the current regulations of the doctoral program.
- Prepare their thesis following the program's guidelines and successfully defend it before a Jury in a public session.
- Comply with all requirements set forth in the rules and regulations.
