APPLICANT PROFILE
Applicants must be prepared to engage in training in epistemology, ethics, research design, and scientific methodologies to address relevant issues in administrative sciences and organizational realities.
Candidates must be professionals or academics in administration, engineering, or related fields, with a strong ethical foundation, creativity, discipline, solid expertise, and a proactive attitude toward education and research. Additionally, they should demonstrate:
- Analytical skills, complex problem-solving, and critical thinking.
- Capacity to develop research proposals in the field of administration.
- Motivation to contribute to administrative knowledge through teaching, research, innovation, or high-level consulting.
- Ethical conduct and commitment to improving societal quality of life.
- Sensitivity toward sustainability and intercultural environments.
- Strategic thinking and the ability to envision organizational futures.
- Understanding of national and global contexts.
- Proficiency in information technologies and data analysis.

- Intermediate to advanced English proficiency.

- Non-certified copy of the valid National Identity Card (DNI) or or Valid Foreigner ID Card.
- Non-certified copy of the bachelor's degree registered in the National Superintendency of University Education (SUNEDU). Not applicable to Ulima graduates.
- Resume duly signed with passport-size photo (JPG format, 240x288 pixels, 300 DPI minimum resolution, in front of a plain white background, no eyeglasses).
- An academic or employment recommendation letter that certifies applicant's capacity to pursue this doctoral program.
- A minimum of five (05) years of work experience, whether in business, executive, teaching, managerial, or research positions. This experience can include the participation or involvement with research initiatives or projects.
- Foreign language commitment letter, in accordance with the current university regulations.
- Complete the Online Psychoeducational Assessment (EPEL–EPG), which will be sent to the applicant’s email address.
- One-page Statement of Purpose explaining applicant's objectives and how this program is aligned to professional and academic aspirations.
- Research proposal about the potential topic for the doctorate. This must include the research problem, objectives, theoretical framework, and preliminary methodology (model).
- Registration fee payment.
Once documents are submitted, the Admissions Office will send you an email within 48 hours to make the registration payment (350 PEN).
GRADUATE PROFILE
Graduates of the PhD in Administration are ethical professionals with a strong academic and professional profile, committed to generating knowledge within their areas of expertise. They are fully equipped to serve as professors and researchers in the field of administrative sciences.
Graduates are able to:
- Analyze the theoretical foundations of administration using scientific criteria and research methodologies to draw conclusions, generate insights, and propose strategic actions.
- Plan and manage their research projects in the short, medium, and long term, demonstrating autonomy, critical thinking, and openness to feedback.
- Produce and disseminate scientific documents that reflect research results, adhering to rigorous academic standards and procedures.
- Form and lead research teams, fostering collaboration and establishing academic networks.
- Communicate research findings effectively to academic, professional, and general audiences, both orally and in writing.
- Serve as professors and researchers in institutions that demand high analytical capacity and the training of future scholars.
- Lead original research initiatives to contribute to the advancement of knowledge at national and international levels.
- Integrate senior management and executive roles with a comprehensive vision that bridges theory and practice.
To obtain the graduate status, students must:
- Complete the study program.
- Fulfill all university obligations.
- Process graduate status with the Student Services and Registry Office (DUSAR).
To obtain the academic degree, students must:
- Hold graduate status.
- Demonstrate proficiency in two foreign or native languages (one must be at intermediate level), by submitting a valid certificate from an institution recognized by the Ulima Language Center.
- Have scientific articles accepted for publication in academic journals, in accordance with the current regulations of the doctoral program.
- Prepare their thesis following the program's guidelines and successfully defend it before a Jury in a public session.
- Comply with all requirements set forth in the rules and regulations.

ADVISORY COUNCIL
AGUINIS, Herman
PhD in Industrial and Organizational Psychology from the University at Albany. He is a former president of the Academy of Management, a distinguished Avram Tucker Researcher, and a Professor of Management at the George Washington University School of Business. A renowned scholar in the field of organizational behavior, he is considered one of the most influential researchers worldwide in his specialty.
MARTÍN DE LA HOZ, José Carlos
PhD in History of Theology from the Universidad de Navarra (Spain) and a bachelor's degree in Geological Sciences from the Universidad Complutense de Madrid (Spain). He is a prolific author and researcher specializing in Christian anthropology and humanism throughout history. His approach focuses on the value of leading by example and the ethical dimension of service, linking his research to contemporary trends in humanistic management and the pursuit of the common good in organizations. He is a member of the Academy of Ecclesiastical History and a professor in the Master's Program in Causes of Saints at the Dicastery for the Causes of Saints. He also serves as an advisor to the Spanish Episcopal Conference.
VIVES DE PRAGA, Luis
PhD in Management from IESE Business School. Holds a Diploma in Piano Performance and Music Theory, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Navarra. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has served as a visiting professor at numerous universities around the world and has collaborated with multinational companies across the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East, spanning sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, wines and spirits, pharmaceuticals, among others. Currently, he is the Director of Corporate Relations and Engagement and Full Professor in the Department of Strategy and General Management at ESADE Business School. He has also held several leadership positions, including Associate Dean of the Full-Time MBA, Director of International Custom Programmes, and Director of the Multinational MBA. Additionally, he served as Consulting Editor at Harvard Deusto Business Review in Spain.
RINGLE, Christian M.
MBA from the University of Kansas School of Business (United States) and PhD in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Hamburg (Germany). He has completed research stays at leading institutions such as Georgia State University (United States), Osaka City University (Japan), and the University of Technology Sydney (Australia). His research—published in top-tier scientific journals—focuses on marketing, technology and innovation management, method development, business analytics, machine learning, and the application of research methods to business decision-making. He is currently Director of the Institute of Management and Decision Sciences at the Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), Adjunct Professor at James Cook University (Australia), and Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley (United States). He is also the Co-Developer and Co-Founder of the statistical software SmartPLS, and regularly teaches doctoral seminars on business analytics and multivariate analysis methods worldwide. Since 2018, he has been listed among the Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics.
