ESSAY WRITING

During the admission process, applicants must submit a document—using the provided format—outlining their potential research topic for the doctorate.

INTERVIEW WITH THE DIRECTOR

A personal interview with the director of master's or doctoral program takes place once the previous steps have been completed.

PAYMENT COMMITMENT LETTER

You must submit a payment commitment letter duly signed and pay the first installment.

Applicants must be prepared to engage in training in epistemology, ethics, research design, and scientific methodologies to address relevant issues in administrative sciences and organizational realities.

Candidates must be professionals or academics in administration, engineering, or related fields, with a strong ethical foundation, creativity, discipline, solid expertise, and a proactive attitude toward education and research. Additionally, they should demonstrate:

  • Analytical skills, complex problem-solving, and critical thinking.
  • Capacity to develop research proposals in the field of administration.
  • Motivation to contribute to administrative knowledge through teaching, research, innovation, or high-level consulting.
  • Ethical conduct and commitment to improving societal quality of life.
  • Sensitivity toward sustainability and intercultural environments.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to envision organizational futures.
  • Understanding of national and global contexts.
  • Proficiency in information technologies and data analysis.
  • Strong self-learning and time management skills.
  • Dedication to enhancing the quality of education and research in Peru and Latin America.

  • Non-certified copy of the valid National Identity Card (DNI) or Alien Registration Card (ARC). 
  • Non-certified copy of the bachelor's degree registered in the National Superintendency of University Education (SUNEDU). Not applicable to Ulima graduates.
  • Resume duly signed with passport-size photo (JPG format, 240x288 pixels, 300 DPI minimum resolution, in front of a plain white background, no eyeglasses).
  • An academic or employment recommendation letter that certifies applicant's capacity to pursue this doctoral program. 
  • A minimum of five (05) years of work experience, whether in business, executive, teaching, managerial, or research positions. This experience can include the participation or involvement with research initiatives or projects.
  • Foreign language commitment letter, in accordance with the current university regulations.
  • One-page Statement of Purpose explaining applicant's objectives and how this program is aligned to professional and academic aspirations.
  • Research proposal about the potential topic for the doctorate. This must include the research problem, objectives, theoretical framework, and preliminary methodology (model).
  • Registration fee payment.

Once documents are submitted, the Admissions Office will send you an email within 48 hours to make the registration payment (350 PEN).

Holds a postdoctoral degree from Université de Strasbourg, a PhD in Management from HEC Montréal, and an MBA from ESADE Business School. Also earned a BS and MS in Industrial Engineering. Nominated for the Best Paper Award by the Academy of Management for the article “How Creative Organizations Develop Systematic Ways to Recognize and Select Novel Ideas.” Recipient of an award for the European project Cowork4EU (Paris School of Business). Associate Researcher at Mosaic—The Creativity & Innovation Hub at HEC Montréal. Author of numerous scientific publications featured in leading international journals.

MONTES, Juan Sebastián

PhD in Business Administration and Management from IESE Business School—Universidad de Navarra. Expert in strategic planning and implementation, public policy, government, and international business. He has held academic positions at Boston University and Universidad Adolfo Ibáñez, and leadership roles as Governor of Los Lagos Region and CEO of Salmofood in Puerto Montt. He currently serves as Associate Professor of the Practice at the Carroll School of Management, Boston College (United States).

VIVES DE PRAGA, Luis

PhD in Management from IESE Business School. Holds a Diploma in Piano Performance and Music Theory, and a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration from Universidad de Navarra. Completed a postdoctoral fellowship at the Sloan School of Management, Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT). He has served as a visiting professor at numerous universities around the world and has collaborated with multinational companies across the United States, Europe, Latin America, Asia, and the Middle East, spanning sectors such as banking, insurance, telecommunications, wines and spirits, pharmaceuticals, among others. Currently, he is the Director of Corporate Relations and Engagement and Full Professor in the Department of Strategy and General Management at ESADE Business School. He has also held several leadership positions, including Associate Dean of the Full-Time MBA, Director of International Custom Programmes, and Director of the Multinational MBA. Additionally, he served as Consulting Editor at Harvard Deusto Business Review in Spain.

RINGLE, Christian M.

MBA from the University of Kansas School of Business (United States) and PhD in Economic and Social Sciences from the University of Hamburg (Germany). He has completed research stays at leading institutions such as Georgia State University (United States), Osaka City University (Japan), and the University of Technology Sydney (Australia). His research—published in top-tier scientific journals—focuses on marketing, technology and innovation management, method development, business analytics, machine learning, and the application of research methods to business decision-making. He is currently Director of the Institute of Management and Decision Sciences at the Hamburg University of Technology (Germany), Adjunct Professor at James Cook University (Australia), and Visiting Researcher at the University of California, Berkeley (United States). He is also the Co-Developer and Co-Founder of the statistical software SmartPLS, and regularly teaches doctoral seminars on business analytics and multivariate analysis methods worldwide. Since 2018, he has been listed among the Highly Cited Researchers by Clarivate Analytics.
