ACADEMIC ENGLISH FOR BUSINESS STUDIES

• Students in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, International Business, and related programs who take courses taught in English.
• Students interested in developing the academic English skills needed to participate in business programs and/or courses taught in English.

Participants must have an intermediate level of English proficiency:

1. If you are a student at the Ulima Language Center, you must have passed the intermediate level (English 6).
2. If you are not a student at the Ulima Language Center, you must have an English certificate that meets the Language Center's requirements. If you do not have one, you may demonstrate an intermediate level through a Placement Test.*

(*) The test result is valid only for the current enrollment period.

The course follows an active, student-centered methodology that promotes continuous participation and meaningful learning through activities related to the academic context of business. Sessions combine individual and collaborative work through case studies, guided discussions, presentations, problem-solving activities, and group projects.

The course also promotes the development of academic strategies such as critical reading, note-taking, information synthesis, and analytical thinking. In this way, students strengthen their language skills while engaging with content related to business disciplines in a dynamic and participatory environment.

The tuition fee includes digital study materials.

Important: Enrollment cancellations must be requested at least two business days before the course start date. To do so, students must submit a letter requesting the cancellation. Otherwise, Universidad de Lima will not accept changes to the enrollment.
