Descripción: 
The standarization of the WAIS-R is based on the administration of the full scale to 1880 adult subjects, select according to current u.s. census data and tested between 1976 and 1989. A group of individuals from this sample was tested with both the old and the new wais to reveal differences due to what may be termed the intervening “generation gap”. All eleven tests of the wais-r were administered to each member of the standarization sample. The individual tests are listed below, group according to the scale to which they are assigned. Verbal scale: information, digit span, vocabulary, comprehension, similarities. Performance scale: picture completion, picture arrangement, block design, object assembly, digit symbol.
