Ray Meloni
Director of the Master’s Program in Business Law

PhD student at the University of Alicante (Spain). Master’s degree in Business Law from Universidad de Lima. He has completed graduate studies in intellectual property in the United States of America, Europe and Japan. He has received scholarships from the Governments of France, Spain and the United States to do internships at entities that administer intellectual property systems and, particularly, geographical indications. Lawyer expert in intellectual property with more than 15 years of experience at the administrative and judicial level in this area. In recent years, he has served as a consultant for international organizations, designing strategies for the protection and management of intellectual property rights for development. International consultant in intellectual property matters. Interim president of the Dispute Settlement Court of the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Energy and Mining (Osinergmin).

Carol Arribasplata
MSc in Production Engineering from the Chalmers University of Technology (Sweden). Industrial engineer from Universidad de Lima. Compliance and operational risk management lead implementer with more than 22 years of experience in the financial sector. Holder of ISO 31000 Risk Management certification issued by the Professional Evaluation and Certification Board (PECB), COSO ERM certificate issued by the Operational Risk Management Committee (ORMC) and Business Continuity certification issued by the Disaster Recovery Institute International (DRII). In recent years, she has been implementing best practices in corporate governance and compliance risk management, and designing and implementing money laundering, terrorist financing and corruption prevention systems. Current operational risk, information security, cybersecurity and business continuity management officer at the Bank of China (Peru).


Nelson Bértoli
Master’s degree in Business Law from the University of Navarra, MBA in Strategic Management from Centrum PUCP and a master’s degree in Financial Management from the ISEAD–Complutense University of Madrid. Lawyer from Universidad de Lima. He has more than 22 years of experience in the areas of financial and legal business related to banking and corporate matters. He has held the position of secretary of the Board of Directors for 15 years and currently holds the position of vice president of compliance, legal advice and special assets, both at Banco Pichincha. In the academic field, he serves as professor of master’s and graduate programs in finance, financial law and business law at ESAN University, Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP), Universidad de Lima, University of Piura (UDEP), Pacífico University (UP) and University of San Martín de Porres (USMP). Former director of Carsa appliance chain and secretary of the Board of Directors of Crecer Seguros.


Gonzalo de Bracamonte
Lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). Master’s degree in Finance and Corporate Law from ESAN University. Partner at De Bracamonte, Haaker & Castellares Abogados. He has more than 20 years of experience in bankruptcy matters and has been recognized by the most prestigious international legal ranking agencies, such as Chambers and Partners, The Legal 500 and Leaders League, as one of the most outstanding professional lawyers in Peru. Former professor of the following courses: Asset Restructuring and Liquidation at the Banking Training Institute (IFB) of the Peruvian Banking Association (Asbanc), Commercial Law and Bankruptcy Law, both at the undergraduate program of PUCP, and Asset Restructuring in the Master’s Program in Finance and Corporate Law at ESAN University. Former speaker and organizer of several seminars on bankruptcy law. Author of several bankruptcy law articles published both in specialized journals and the media.


Carlos Cárdenas
Lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). He has completed an MBA at the Adolfo Ibáñez School of Management (USA) and a Master’s Program in Employment Law at the University of East Anglia (United Kingdom). He specializes in labor issues and has given training courses on this subject to public and private entities, either directly or through institutions such as the Peruvian Association of Human Resources (Aperhu), National Association of Mining, Petroleum and Energy (SNMPE), American Chamber of Commerce (AmCham), among others. Current graduate professor at PUCP and Universidad de Lima, and adjunct professor at Pacífico Business School. Former partner at Ernst & Young Perú. Current partner at Sagio Consulting.


Edmundo Casavilca
PhD candidate in Accounting and Financial Sciences at the University of San Martín de Porres (USMP). MBA from the University of Quebec (Canada) and master’s degree in Economics with a major in Finance from the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM). He has more than 30 years of professional experience in the areas of costs and finance in industrial, commercial and service companies. Consultant and advisor of companies in subjects related to costs, operational management and other economic and financial issues.


Jesús Espinoza Lozada
Master’s degree in Law, Economics and Public Policy from the Complutense University of Madrid. Technical secretary of the Commission for the Defense of Free Competition at the National Institute for the Defense of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi) and member of the Customer Complaint Settlement Administrative Court at the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel). Former chairman of the APEC Competition Policy and Law Group. Professor at Universidad de Lima, Pacífico University (UP) and University of Piura (UDEP).


Guillermo Ferrero
MBA from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom), master’s degree in Corporate Law from New York University (USA) and lawyer from Universidad de Lima. He is licensed to practice law in New York (as a member of the New York State Bar Association) and Lima. He has worked at Ferrero Abogados as the head of the Corporate, Capital Markets, Financial Services, and Mergers and Acquisitions areas, and in organizations such as Sun Microsystems Inc. (United Kingdom) and Parsons Behle & Latimer (USA). Partner in charge of the Corporate M&A area at Philippi Prietocarrizosa Ferrero DU & Uría. Current professor at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and Universidad de Lima.


Fernando García-Rada
PhD candidate in Economics from Johannes Kepler University Linz (Austria). MBA from the University of Quebec (Canada). Executive MBA from San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL) and California State University, Fullerton (USA). Current director of the Small and Micro Enterprise Development and Training Institute.


Wendy Ledesma Orbegozo
Master’s degree in Law, Economics and Public Policy from the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute (IUIOG), attached to the Complutense University of Madrid. She is studying for a master’s degree in Senior Public Management at Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP), which is organized in collaboration with the José Ortega y Gasset and Gregorio Marañón Foundation (FOM). Lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). She specializes in public management, administrative law, consumer protection and financial inclusion. She has a solid work experience in the public sector, multilateral and international cooperation institutions, as well as civil society. Current advisor at the Peruvian National Board of Justice, and professor of consumer law and public management at Continental University (UC), Norbert Wiener University (UWiener), PUCP and Ulima.


Eduardo Félix Leturia López
Lawyer from Universidad de Lima. Martín Mayandía
He has experience in infrastructure financing, capital markets and project financing. He has provided advisory services to public and private entities in road, port, basic sanitation, sports and agricultural projects. He has been a member of the team that represented the São Paulo FC in the EPC contract amounting to R$ 400 million for its stadium. He has been a member of the team that represented an investment fund in the purchase of a water company amounting to R$ 200 million. He has represented ProInversión in the negotiation for the concession of Olmos Project amounting to $ 270 million. He has been a member of the team that represented Hutchison Ports – Consorcio SAM & Cía. in the public bidding of the North Terminal of the Port of Callao.


Desirée Bianca Orsini Wisotzki
LLM in Banking & Financial Law from Boston University (Massachusetts). Member of the New York Bar Association. Lawyer graduated from the Albert Ludwigs University of Freiburg  (Germany), professional title validated by the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). Former member of the Bankruptcy Proceedings Committee at the National Institute for the Defense of Free Competition and the Protection of Intellectual Property (Indecopi), legal manager at LAN Perú and Trans American Airlines – Taca Perú. She has been listed by The Legal 500’s Corporate Counsel 100: Latin America in 2014. Regular member of the Labor Inspection Court at the National Superintendency of Labor Inspection (Sunafil).


Óscar Omar Picón González
Lawyer from Universidad de Lima. LLM in International Taxation from the University of Florida (USA). Master’s degree in Finance from Pacífico University (UP). Former Fullbright scholarship holder. He has more than 30 years of experience in tax matters and has served as member of the Tax Court at the Ministry of Economy and Finance, legal advisor in tax matters at ProInversión, and head of the tax area of prestigious law firms in Lima. Current partner at Picón & Asociados, a company dedicated to tax consulting and, since January 2022, member firm of Andersen Global, an association operating in more than 150 countries. Author of the book Tributación internacional, renta de no domiciliados (International Taxation, Income from Non-Domiciled Persons) and of several articles published in specialized journals.


Arnaldo Rivera
International master’s degree in Leadership from EADA Business School (Spain) and MBA from Centrum PUCP. Person ultimately responsible for people management in companies, with broad management experience in leading companies in the country. He establishes the policies and processes for each stage of collaborators’ business trips: attraction, selection, induction, training, total compensation, work environment, legal aspects and employment termination to achieve continuous improvement of human performance. He received the following awards: rank #8 Peru, Ranking Directiv@s Digitales 2022, Human Talent Management category; rank #8 Peru,  Great Place to Work in Peru 2022, 250-500 Collaborators category; rank #19 Latin America, Great Place to Work (GPTW) 2021, <500 Collaborators category; and Creatividad Empresarial Award 2014, Human Factor category, organized by the Peruvian University of Applied Sciences (UPC).


Julio Rodríguez
PhD in Criminal Law and Criminal Sciences and master’s degree in Criminal System and Social Problems, both from the University of Barcelona (Spain). Lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). Founding partner at Estudio Rodríguez Delgado Abogados y Asociados. Author of various publications in specialized journals and of book El tipo imprudente (The Reckless Person), a functional view from the Peruvian criminal law (second edition, 2013). Current graduate professor at the University of San Martín de Porres (USMP), Universidad de Lima and San Ignacio de Loyola University (USIL). Lecturer in national and international seminars.


Antonio Horacio Román Calzada
Master’s degree in Business Law from Universidad de Lima and the Autonomous University of Madrid (UAM). Graduate from the Business Management Specialization Program (PADE) in Finance and Corporate Law at ESAN Graduate School of Business. Author of several articles published in specialized legal journals. Former legal manager at Unión de Cervecerías Peruanas Backus y Johnston, and manager of contentious legal counsel at Telefónica del Perú. Current legal central manager at El Comercio Group.


Maximiliano Eduardo Salazar Gallegos
Lawyer specialized in civil and commercial law. Arbitrator. Master’s degree in Business Law from Universidad de Lima. He has completed graduate studies in Administrative and Economic Law from the Pontifical Catholic University of Chile (UC Chile). Professor of undergraduate and master’s programs at the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). He attended refresher courses in civil and commercial matters at the University of Salamanca and the University of Navarra. He works at SG & Cía. Abogados, a consulting firm of private and public companies. Author of more than 80 articles published in law books and journals.


Daniel Ulloa Millares
PhD in Employment, Labor Relations and Social Dialog in Europe from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) (Spain) and lawyer from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP). He has completed graduate studies at the University of Buenos Aires, International Training Centre of the ILO (Turin, Italy), University of Bologna and UCLM. He has been a professor at the National University of San Marcos (UNMSM) and has lectured courses of his specialty at the Judicial Academy to the lawyers of the Ministry of Labor and labor inspectors. Former consultant at USAID, UNDP and ILO. Former director of the Master’s Program in Labor Relations at PUCP and president of the Peruvian Association of Labor and Social Security Law for the 2017-2019 biennium. Current professor at Universidad de Lima, tenured professor of labor law at the Faculty of Law of the PUCP, professor of labor inspection at ESAN University, and partner at De las Casas & Ulloa.


Erick Urbina Lovón
PhD student in Law at the University of Alicante (Spain) and official master’s degree in Constitutional Law from the University of Castilla-La Mancha (UCLM) (Spain). Visiting scholar and visiting researcher at the Sapienza University of Rome (Italy). He has completed specialization studies at the Diplomatic Academy of Peru Javier Pérez de Cuéllar (ADP), UCLM, Universidad de Lima, University of Piura (UDEP) and School of Governance at the Peruvian National Jury of Elections (JNE). Lawyer with more than 10 years of academic experience, including management and development of educational, research, thesis and research work teaching and advising programs. Former technical secretary of the Special Commission representing the Peruvian State in international investment disputes. Chief negotiator for the Investment Chapter of the Trans-Pacific Partnership (TPP). Advisor in the maritime delimitation dispute between Peru and Chile before the International Court of Justice. Carmen Milagros Velarde Koechlin
Current national head of the National Registry of Identification and Vital Statistics (Reniec). Lawyer and master’s degree in Business Law from Universidad de Lima. Master’s degree in Social Management from the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (PUCP) and master’s degree in Governance and Electoral Processes from the Ortega y Gasset University Research Institute (IUIOG). PhD student in Private Law at the University of Salamanca (Spain). Former technical secretary of the Customer Complaint Settlement Administrative Court and manager of decentralized offices at the Supervisory Agency for Private Investment in Telecommunications (Osiptel). Former manager of identity restoration and social support at Reniec. Member of the Ibero-American Federation of Law and Informatics Association (FIADI) and the Ibero-American network ElDerechoInformatico.com (EDI), which has awarded her recognitions for her academic and professional work in computer law in 2017, 2019 and 2021.

Humberto Zúñiga Schroder
Peruvian and Australian lawyer. Officer of the Supreme Court of Victoria. PhD in Law from The University of Edinburgh (United Kingdom) and LLM in International and European Trade Law from the University of Amsterdam (The Netherlands). Solicitor of the Supreme Court of Queensland (Australia) from 2018 to 2020. He has held management positions in the public sector. Former international officer of the Legal Affairs Division at the Andean Community General Secretariat. He provided legal advice at the Environmental Defenders Office of Northern Queensland (a community legal center specializing in environmental law issues in Australia). Current full-time professor at Pacífico University (UP) School of Law and member of the Dispute Settlement Court of the Supervisory Agency for Investment in Public Transportation Infrastructure (Ositrán).
