With the aim of providing a well-rounded education in the engineering field and preparing its students for the challenges required by organizations, the Industrial Engineering Undergraduate Program is organized into six academic areas as specified below.

Technological Design and Innovation Area

The subjects of this area enable Industrial Engineering students to build solid competencies in the design and development of technological, automated and industrial processes in general, and to acquire skills in the use of tools such as digital fabrication and artificial intelligence.

Business Engineering Area

The subjects of this area enhance Industrial Engineering students’ soft skills and develop their organizational management competencies, both at functional and managerial levels. This allows our graduates to lead change processes in global environments.

Production and Logistics Area

The subjects of this area give Industrial Engineering students the skills to innovate, design, manage, control, optimize and lead processes based on quality, as well as to manage the logistics processes and supply chain of any organization from purchasing to final distribution in an omnichannel environment.

Industrial Projects Area

The subjects of this area enable Industrial Engineering students to develop improvement projects that increase business competitiveness, investment projects aimed at solving a need, and technical research projects that produce new knowledge, thus allowing them the creation of patents.

Process Technology Area

The subjects of this area provide Industrial Engineering students with theoretical-practical knowledge of physical-chemical and technological processes as part of an integrated industrial transformation system, in accordance with the environment and sustainable development.

Data Analysis and Process Optimization Area

The subjects of this area develop students’ knowledge of modeling tools through the design of experiments, allowing them to manage data by using methods, technologies and tools to process large amounts of data and convert them into knowledge for decision-making.
