Seminar: Training Digitization & Industry 4.0

This seminar focused on Digitization & Industry 4.0 will take place at the University of Lima on November 21 and 22, 2020. The length of the seminar is 8 hours each day (including breaks). It will be dictated in English.

Learning objectives

During these days, the participants will attend lectures on Digitization & Industry & Logistics 4.0. The contents include among others maturity and digital business models (e.g. Business Model Canvas) and implementation examples of Industry 4.0 from practice. The participants will apply and expand their knowledge in a workshop, in which they will develop new business models based on selected innovations in the field of Digitization & Industry 4.0.

The participants will acquire the following knowledge:

  • Basics and methods of Industry & Logistics 4.0 and their implementation
  • Basics, methods and project applications in Digitization (especially digital business models)

Training contents

Day 1: Basics of Digitization & Industry 4.0 and their implementation in the company

  • Introduction to the topic Digitization & Industry 4.0
  • Overview of relevant technologies and their applications in practice
  • Presentation of interesting implementation examples from practice
  • Procedure for the development of a Digitization or Industry 4.0 roadmap

Day 2: Case study

  • Application of the findings from day 1 by the students (Use of Cases)
  • Presentation of group results
  • Concluding discussion


Experts of the Technical University of Dortmund (TU Dort­mund University) and the Fraunhofer Institute for Material Flow and Logistics (Fraunhofer IML), Dortmund, Germany.


The seminar is designed for students in the final stage of their bachelor studies, master students and lecturers. The number of participants will be 27 at most.


The amount of the program per person is US$ 650.00 (six hundred fifty and 00/100 US dollars).

Payment program

First fee (50%): From 10 February 2020 to 25 July 2020 (last day of registration).
Second fee (50%): Until 25 August 2020.

Certificate of participation

The participants will receive a certificate of participation from TU Dortmund University and Fraunhofer IML.
