Transfer Students

Students who have approved the minimum credits as provided for by law in the university of origin may apply for undergraduate program courses. For once, students may apply to the University by this admission modality.

The evaluation of transfer applicants will include:

  • Evaluation of files composed of academic documentation and personal information of the applicant.
  • Others deemed necessary.

Upon completion of the evaluation, a list of the admitted transfer applicants will be published. The results are not appealable.

Admitted transfer applicants may transfer courses approved in the university of origin if the contents are equivalent to, at least, 70% and the number of credits is equivalent to or greater than those of the Universidad de Lima’s courses. Courses will be transferred throughout the academic term in which the transfer has been approved and with the submission of the pertinent documentation at the moment of the enrollment. Under no circumstances, credits will be subsequently transferred.

Admitted transfer applicants may not change from undergraduate program until they have completed at least one regular academic term of it.

In order to apply for the bachelor’s degree and the professional title at Universidad de Lima, students must approve at least 50% of the credits recquired for the completion of the program.

Requirements for in-person enrollment

  • National Identity Card (DNI).
  • Original copy of student´s complete academic record issued by the secondary school.
  • Original copy of the transcript evidencing that the student has approved the minimum credits as provided for by law in the university of origin.
  • Syllabi or study plans of the courses approved in the university of origin sealed by the faculty.
  • Certificate evidencing that the student has not been expelled from the university of origin on disciplinary and/or academic grounds, dated within the last three months.
  • Certificate of the cumulative grade point average.
  • Certificate evidencing that the student has approved studies equivalent to the minimum credits as provided for by law in the university of origin for applicants from universities with no credit system.
  • Basic English Certificate.
  • Hard copy report of the online pre-enrollment form.

Remarks

  • Minor applicants must submit, at the time of their in-person enrollment, the following document, completed and signed by their legal guardian (please attach a copy of the legal guardian’s ID). Authorization for minors
  • Foreign applicants must submit, as a requirement, the requested documents translated into Spanish by a state certified translator (if necessary), as well as sealed and signed by the Consulate of Peru in the country of origin and by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Peru.
  • The Ministry of Education of Peru must recognize the secondary studies performed abroad. The applicants must submit the pertaining documents confirming such recognition on the indicated dates.
  • Basic English Certificate must be issued by any of the following institutes: Instituto Cultural Peruano Norteamericano (ICPNA), Asociación Cultural Peruano Británica (ACPB), Language Institute of the Pontifical Catholic University of Peru (INIPUC), Language Center of the University of the Pacific (UP), Standard Certification Services Perú S.A.C.
  • The enrollment fee is S/ 550.00 (Five Hundred Fifty Soles), which must be paid on the same day of the in-person enrollment, after the verification of the documents.

Enrollments are performed in January of each year.
